The Jersey Generator

Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Jersey Generator (“The Jersey Generator,” “TJG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of thejerseygenerator.com (the “Site”), including browsing our catalog, using our online jersey customizer, submitting a custom jersey request, and purchasing custom team uniforms and apparel (collectively, the “Services”).

By placing an order, creating an account, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or place an order. If you are ordering on behalf of a team, league, school, or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on that organization’s behalf.

#1 Acceptance of Terms

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and The Jersey Generator regarding use of the Site and purchase of Services. Placing an order — whether through our online product catalog, our jersey customizer, or a custom mockup request submitted by email, form, or chat — constitutes acceptance of these Terms as they read on the date of your order.

#2 Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your province/state, to place an order. Coaches, team managers, parents, or organization representatives ordering on behalf of a team confirm they have the authority to do so and to collect and submit teammates’ sizing and name/number information.

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at mark@thejerseygenerator.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

#3 Custom Orders & the Jersey Customizer

Most products on the Site are made-to-order: sublimated or embroidered with your team’s colors, logo, names, and numbers based on the specifications you submit. You may build a design using our online jersey customizer or submit a request through our Custom Jersey Request form for a design built by our team.

Because each order is manufactured specifically for you, orders are treated as custom goods once production begins (see Section 7, “Order Changes & Cancellations,” and Section 10, “Returns, Refunds & Defects”).

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of everything you submit, including but not limited to:

  • Team name, colors, and logo files
  • Player names, numbers, and captain/assistant designations
  • Jersey style, size, and quantity selections
  • Spelling of all text elements

Our online customizer is designed to preview your design accurately, but on-screen colors may vary from the final printed or embroidered product due to monitor calibration, fabric type, and print/embroidery process (see Section 8).

#4 Design Proofs, Mockups & Approval

For custom jersey requests and any order our team modifies or builds on your behalf, we will send a digital proof or mockup for your review before production begins. Production will not start until you provide written approval (by email, chat, or through the Site) of the final proof.

Once you approve a proof, you confirm that:

  • All names, numbers, spelling, sizes, and quantities are correct;
  • You have the right to use any logo, artwork, or trademark included in the design (see Section 11); and
  • You accept that minor variances between the digital proof and the finished product may occur (see Section 8).

Errors that are not caught before approval, and that were accurately reflected in the approved proof, are the customer’s responsibility. Errors introduced by The Jersey Generator that deviate from the approved proof will be corrected at our expense (see Section 10).

#5 Pricing, Payment & Taxes

Prices are listed in USD or CAD depending on the storefront currency you select and are subject to change without notice; the price charged is the price displayed at checkout at the time of order. Payment in full (or an agreed deposit, for large team/bulk orders) is required before production begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You are responsible for any applicable sales tax, GST/HST/QST, customs duties, or import fees associated with your order, particularly for shipments outside your billing country.

#6 Production Times & Delays

Standard production turnaround is approximately 2–3 weeks from final design approval, plus shipping time. Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees, and may vary based on order size, design complexity, materials, and seasonal order volume. Rush production may be available for an additional fee — contact us before ordering if you have a hard deadline (e.g., a tournament date), and we will confirm in writing whether we can accommodate it.

We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to carrier delays, customs processing, weather, supplier shortages, or other force majeure events.

#7 Order Changes & Cancellations

Because most jerseys are cut, printed, or embroidered specifically for your order:

  • You may request changes or cancel your order free of charge any time before you approve the final design proof and before production begins.
  • Once you approve the proof and production has started, orders cannot be canceled, and changes cannot be guaranteed, because materials have already been cut, printed, or committed to your specific design.
  • Roster changes submitted after proof approval (e.g., added players, size changes) will be treated as a new order for those items and may extend the turnaround time.

#8 Sizing, Fit & Product Variance

Sizing charts are provided on each product page to help you select the correct size. Custom jerseys are made to the size selected at checkout or on your roster form, not remeasured to each individual after the fact, so please confirm sizing with each player before submitting your order.

Because jerseys are sublimated, printed, or embroidered by hand and cut from fabric rolls, minor variances in color, stitching placement, or fit of +/- a reasonable manufacturing tolerance compared to the digital proof are normal and are not considered defects.

#9 Shipping & Delivery

  • We currently ship within the United States and Canada through checkout; select international orders may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis by contacting us directly. Estimated delivery dates provided at checkout or by our team are estimates only.

    Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon our delivery to the shipping carrier. If a package is lost or damaged in transit, contact us promptly at mark@thejerseygenerator.com so we can file a claim with the carrier and work with you on a resolution.

    You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. We are not responsible for orders delayed, lost, or misdelivered due to incorrect address information provided at checkout.

#10 Returns, Refunds & Defects

Because our jerseys and uniforms are custom-made to your specifications (colors, logo, names, numbers, and sizing), we generally do not accept returns or exchanges for correctly produced custom items. This includes buyer’s remorse, roster changes after production, or sizing errors that were confirmed at the time of order.

We will repair, replace, or refund an order at our discretion if:

  • The item arrives with a manufacturing defect (e.g., faulty stitching, print/embroidery failure);
  • The finished product materially deviates from the design you approved in the final proof (through an error on our part); or
  • The item arrives damaged in transit (subject to timely notice per Section 9).

To request a resolution, contact us within 14 days of delivery at mark@thejerseygenerator.com with your order number and photos of the issue. Non-custom, in-stock items (if any are sold as such on the Site) may be eligible for return within a separate window noted on that product’s page.

#11 Logos, Artwork & Intellectual Property You Submit

When you upload a logo, image, or artwork for your custom jersey, you represent and warrant that you own the rights to that artwork, or have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses to use it, and that its use does not infringe any third party’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.

You grant The Jersey Generator a limited, non-exclusive license to reproduce, resize, digitize, and print or embroider your submitted artwork solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order (and, unless you opt out, to display the finished product in our gallery or marketing materials).

You agree to indemnify and hold The Jersey Generator harmless from any claim, loss, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from a third party’s claim that artwork you submitted infringes their rights.

#12 Team Names, League Marks & Trademarks

The Jersey Generator produces custom uniforms for recreational, amateur, school, and community teams based on designs and names submitted by customers. We do not knowingly reproduce the registered trademarks, logos, or uniform designs of professional or major collegiate sports leagues or franchises for unauthorized commercial resale.

If your submitted design or team name appears to infringe a third party’s trademark, we reserve the right to request modification, decline, or cancel the order (with a refund of any amount paid for that order) at our discretion.

#13 Acceptable Use of the Site

You agree not to:

  • Submit artwork, text, or names that are unlawful, obscene, hateful, defamatory, or that infringe another party’s rights;
  • Use the Site for any fraudulent or unauthorized purpose, including payment fraud or chargebacks made in bad faith;
  • Attempt to interfere with, hack, or disrupt the Site, our servers, or our customizer tool; or
  • Scrape, copy, or reuse our product designs, photography, or pricing for a competing commercial purpose.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or refund any order that violates this section.

#14 Reviews & User Content

If you submit a review, testimonial, or photo of your jersey, you grant The Jersey Generator a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and share that content on the Site and on our social media channels for marketing purposes. You confirm the content is your own and does not violate any third party’s rights.

#15 Our Intellectual Property

All Site content that is not user-submitted — including our logo, the “The Jersey Generator” name, our template designs, product photography, customizer tool, and site design — is owned by or licensed to The Jersey Generator and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or use it without our prior written permission.

#16 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Jersey Generator disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimer is not permitted by applicable consumer protection law.

#17 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Jersey Generator’s total liability arising out of or relating to your order or use of the Site will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or a missed tournament/game date, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

#18 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Jersey Generator, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your submitted artwork or content, or your misuse of the Site.

#19 Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information such as your name, contact details, shipping address, payment information, and uploaded artwork.

#20 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, products, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Terms in effect at the time you place an order govern that order.
